Do I have to have preservative treatment?
- No, there is no national requirement to have timber preservative treated. In some areas of the UK it is recommended due to insect habitation. If you are converting a barn and are aware of woodworm or dryrot issues then it is wise to take this precaution.
Generally though we can offer this service but do feel it is an unnecessary expense.
